The Dance Compound invites applications for a Dance Studio Administrator (Part-time) in Calgary, AB.

DUTIES

This position will be primarily working from home, up to 20 hours per week.

A successful Studio Administrator will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to all community members, clients, dancers, and vendors, in an enthusiastic, open and safe manner.

  • Liase with studio members, clients, dancers and/or vendors either in-studio or online communication channels 

  • Execute studio-wide marketing campaigns

  • Organize and direct studio projects, either onsite or virtually

  • Assist with duties related to Performance Team competition events

  • Assist, organize and direct duties related to studio Spring Showcase

  • Act as main point of contact for all studio communications intake clients

  • Assist with other duties as required

Training will be provided for specific duties and/or tasks.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Excellent knowledge of dance community and SW community centres 

  • Excellent knowledge of local arts community an asset

  • Strong knowledge of dance studio organization and administration

  • Marketing design, development and evaluation using Canvas, or equivalent applications

  • Social Media practices, marketing and maintenance

  • Project management practices

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Very good oral and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of dance studios and/or dance instruction

  • Sensitive to the needs of various ages groups and their learning ability

  • Strong knowledge and experience using Canva, Square, Squarespace, and Meta Business

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite

  • Flexibility and ability to work with diverse groups

  • Excellent research, writing, and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrates leadership, initiative, and creativity

  • Organized, efficient and productive

  • Flexibility and ability to work in a changing work environment

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
